Ty began his musical career as a boy of 9 when he performed on the ukelele for the Prime Minister of Sri Lanka, Mrs. Bandaranaika. Ty has always had a keen interest and love of all things musical, as indeed do all his family, and he has always enjoyed playing guitar to entertain family and friends.

He first put this love into more practical use in the mid 90’s when he and a few friends started regular get togethers and “jam sessions” at his local squash club. This evolved into a 6-piece band and 'Last Orders' was formed in 2000. They secured many bookings for functions such as weddings, parties, anniversaries and dinner dances with Ty on guitar and vocals. The lead vocalist in the band was Judy Lenihan. He joined Kevin and Judy in March 2008 and after much discussion they eventually decided on the name 'Timeless' - reflecting the genre of much of their music.
